Peter C. Sedereas is currently the longest tenured Parish Council member, completing his seventh term on the Parish Council and served as President for two years. During the past twenty-one years, he has seen the board evolve into a family that works together for the good of the Parish, not their own personal agenda. Peter is currently the Corresponding Secretary (the past 3 years) and has also served as the Parish Council Vice-President and is a past President of the Order of AHEPA (1996) as well as the Past District Warden (2005). He has served as Chairman for several events such as the $100 ticket 50/50 raffle (1995-2001); Father Tsigas’ 35th Anniversary Dinner Dance (1998); the Budget and Finance Committee (1999-2001); and the Buy-A-Brick Fundraiser (2001-2006). He has also served on the Planning Committee (1997-2001), the Development Committee (1997-2001), and 2004-2005 worked in conjunction with the Steering Committee to make decisions and obtain bids for the unfinished portions of the Community Center. Currently he is working on obtaining permits for the St Andrew Academy from Randolph. Peter is a GOYA advisor, GOYA Basketball Coach and the GOYA District One Youth League Commissioner. Both Peter and his wife, Diana, work for our youth, with Diana having served as Hope President for two years, and has been a Sunday School Teacher and on the Joy Board. Their children, Venia, Constantine and Despina are fourth generation members of the Parish and are active members of the GOYA and Joy Groups. Peter believes in the importance of giving our children the same Spiritual and Educational opportunities that he received through the Community. He sees our Church as a place to teach our children the words and works of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our Community Center should be a place where we will be able to promote and teach our rich Greek language, culture, and history. For our children and our future, Peter feels that the facilities and programs we offer cannot be anything less than the best.
